MI Dispensary Has Given Out 4,000 Joints to Vaccine Recipients

A Michigan cannabis dispensary is offering free products for patrons who receive the coronavirus vaccine.

As CalMarijuanaPolicy reported in January, Washington D.C. cannabis activist Adam Eidinger launched a weed-for-vaccination program called “joints for jabs.” That same month, the Greenhouse dispensary in Walled Lake, Michigan launched its own “Pot for Shots” program. It was recently extended through March 1.

Patients are not required to buy anything from Greenhouse in order to participate in the program. As long as they show proof that they’ve been vaccinated, they’re entitled to one free pre-rolled joint.

Greenhouse owner Jerry Millen said the purpose of “Pot for Shots” is to raise awareness about the importance of the COVID-19 vaccine. So far, over 4,000 people have participated.
