First cannabis delivery service comes to Arvin

Two years after Arvin voters authorized the legalization and taxation of marijuana, a delivery service has set up shop. It’s the first such business in Kern County.

KGET visited the new 10,000-square-foot facility last month. 420 Kingdom thinks of itself as an “Uber Eats” for cannabis, with a plentiful selection and delivery guaranteed within an hour.

The company’s CEO, Jeffrey Thorn, initially opposed legalizing marijuana. Then he saw the wonders medical cannabis did for his mother and decided to get into the business himself.

420 Kingdom may be the first, but it won’t be the last. More businesses are expected to arrive in Arvin in the coming months.
