FBI Raids Home of Compton Councilman, Baldwin Park City Attorney in Cannabis Corruption Probe

The FBI has opened an investigation into dealings between the City of Baldwin Park and the cannabis industry.

The probe came to light last week when agents raided the home of Compton City Councilman Isaac Galvan and the offices of Baldwin Park City Attorney Robert Tafoya.

Questions have been circulating for some time about the approval of cannabis business licenses in Baldwin Park. Three cannabis businesses had reportedly complained of “questionable business practices, which included paying as much as $250,000 cash in a brown paper bag to city officials.”
