Fresno Sheriff’s Department Makes Two Large Pot Busts in Two Weeks

After using crow bars to smash the windows of a house in Fresno Thursday, members of the county sheriff's department discovered 1,260 illegal marijuana plants with a street value of over $1.2 million. The grow’s operator, 48-year-old Jiang Yunquan, was arrested.

Thursday’s bust came a week after authorities seized almost 950 marijuana plants in the same area.

“Get a warehouse and work where it's legal or something and do it right, not in my neighborhood," resident Cory Zamora told ABC30

With authorities making examples out of illicit cultivators, they hope others will heed the warning.
