San Diego County Sees 43rd Case of Vape-Related Lung Illness

Vaping-related lung injuries have continued across the nation and state, with San Diego County reporting its 43rd case Wednesday, Jan. 8.

The spate of illnesses is largely connected to illicit cannabis vapes cut with Vitamin E acetate. They will be the subject of discussion at the San Diego County Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 14. The county is looking to protect public health and crack down on youth vaping.

The lung illnesses began over the summer and have resulted in 2,602 hospitalizations in the United States so far.
