Dozens of Sacramento Pot Businesses to Go Dark Next Month
Some 58 cannabis businesses in Sacramento may be forced to suspend operations on Feb. 1 because they have not completed the necessary paperwork for a business operations permit.
The city recently sent letters to a number of businesses warning they would be halted if they did not complete the process by Feb. 1. Of those, 58 are still out of compliance. According to Marijuana Business Daily they represent one-fifth of the cannabis businesses in Sacramento.
“We felt that it was our obligation to ensure that our applicants were moving forward, and if they weren’t, then they’re no longer going to be able to continue to operate,” Sacramento Assistant City Manager Leyne Milstein told the publication.
