Changes to Cultivation Rules Irk SLO Weed Growers

A number of weed growers in San Luis Obispo may be forced to stop cultivation because of a sudden change made by the County Board of Supervisors.

“The San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors originally allowed cannabis operators to start cultivation while their permits were being processed, but recently decided anyone who does not have a valid permit will now have to stop growing during the long permitting process,” KSBY reports.

Cannabis industry officials have begged county leaders not to go this route. They say it would devastate them economically and affect the wider, local economy.
