Marijuana Job Postings Are Up 1,242% on Indeed

Cannabis industry job postings in California are up a whopping 1,242% at It’s a testament to the legal pot industry’s economic power, even in spite of a crushing black market.

The Sacramento Bee reports that Indeed scanned job postings for a series of marijuana-related keywords, including cannabis, marijuana, dispensary, budtender, cannabidiol, cannabinoid, and CBD. The increase occurred between Sept. 1, 2015, and Sept. 1, 2019.

The biggest hits were in San Francisco, San Jose, and Los Angeles. In terms of companies, MadMen led the way, then Mammoth Distribution, Caliva, Weedmaps, Ohana Gardens, and Urbn Leaf.
