Three Culver City Cannabis Shop Finalists Move Forward

Culver City has chosen its three finalists for cannabis retail permits. They were selected from a group of 23 applicants, all of whom went through a rigorous process that involved reviews by a three-person panel appointed by the city manager, interviews with a separate committee of five, and background checks.

These are the only cannabis storefronts that will be permitted to operate in the city — that is, once they acquire permits from Los Angeles County and get final approval from the City Council.

The process is expected to be wrapped up later this year or by early 2020.

The three finalists are:

1. Essence Culver City

2. SweetFlower

3. TGS Culver City
