Illegal San Bernardino Grow Houses Busted, Three Arrested

Last week, federal officials arrested three men in San Bernardino County in connection to several illegal marijuana operations that were believed to be funded with money from China.

The three men from Chino, Alhambra, and Pasadena are being charged with manufacturing, distributing and possessing with the intent to distribute marijuana.

A more than year-long investigation led to search warrants issued at the home of one of the men as well as for seven grow houses in the area.

According to KTLA, about 1,650 marijuana plants and $80,000 in cash were seized from the home.

Transactions for the operation were traced back to wire transfers from China and involved “straw buyers” for homes, fake leases, fake tenants, forged signatures, and ways to divert electricity.
