South Africa Supreme Court Legalizes Marijuana

South Africa has become the latest country to legalize personal use of marijuana.

The country’s highest court upheld a lower court ruling Tuesday which deemed bans on private adult cannabis use to be unconstitutional.

Recreational use of marijuana remains prohibited in most countries around the world, but a growing number are embracing decriminalization and/or legalization for medical use.
