Hezekiah Allen Steps Down as Head of California Growers Association

The head of California’s largest cannabis trade organization is stepping down to chair a cooperative of independent cannabis growers in California.

Hezekiah Allen announced his resignation as executive director of the California Growers Association on Thursday.

“I will continue serving in a volunteer managing director role from now until the end of the year,” he told Marijuana Business Daily, and he is likely to remain on the CGA’s board next year.

Allen has accepted a position as chair of the Emerald Grown Co-Op board, where he will be working on a number of ambitious projects.
