Cannabis’ Clout on Full Display at Annual Business Summit and Expo

More than 7,000 people flocked to San Jose over the weekend for the Cannabis Business Summit and Expo at the McEnery Convention Center. Absent were the stereotypical images of red-eyed stoners, Kron4 reports.  Instead, people were looking at serious money-making opportunities in what has already become a colossal industry.

Over 150 speakers addressed issues ranging from finances and investment opportunities to public policy. The exhibit also showcased some of the newest innovations in marijuana technology.

California’s legal marijuana market has been growing at lightning speed. Recreational sales became legal just six months ago but they’re already expected to hit $3.7 billion by the end of the year and $5.1 billion by 2019.
