San Luis Obispo Approves Adult Use Marijuana Shops

Adult use cannabis is finally coming to San Luis Obispo County.

The City of San Luis Obispo became the first city in the county to allow recreational pot shops Tuesday. A new draft cannabis ordinance has been unanimously approved, but it won’t take effect until taxing matters are hashed out. Under the ordinance approved last week, the city will allow up to three retail pot shops on Broad Street, South Higuera and Tank Farm Road. All other cannabis activities, including testing and manufacturing, will be restricted to six designated zones in the city.
