Sacramento Cannabis Cup Goes Off Without a Hitch
With some 15,000 people in attendance, Sacramento estimates it made somewhere close to $200,000 at the High Times Cannabis Cup over the weekend.
This was the first permitted event in California where attendees were allowed to buy and smoke marijuana. Concert goers and promoters said they were elated by the Sacramento City Council’s (divided) decision to grant the permit.
“It’s helps show that the City of Sacramento is a very forward thinking city,” said High Times’ Maxx Abramowitz.
Leafly has a whole run-down on what the event was like: the vibe, the crowds, the entertainment (Cypress Hill, Lil Wayne, and Lauren Hill were there) and the marijuana deals. Overall, it describes a relaxed atmosphere with few problems.
