Banking Giant to Pot Shop: Stop Using Our Name

Banking giant Citigroup has a message for the cleverly named California pot dispensary Citidank: We are not amused.

Citigroup has ordered the company to stop using its name and logo, which also mimics that of Citibank but with a marijuana leaf instead of an umbrella.

“Unless you are as high as a kite, you know that Citi isn’t affiliated with this business in any way and we have requested that they stop using Citi’s name and logo,” said Danielle Romero-Apsilos, a spokeswoman for the $182 billion banking giant.
