Is Your Dispensary Legal? Find Out With the Bureau of Cannabis Control’s New Database.

As we all know by now, January 1st marked the day Californians over the age of 21 can legally grow, possess, and use cannabis for non-medicinal purposes.

On Monday, more than 400 legally licensed cannabis businesses opened up all over the state. However, with 450+ cities creating their own municipal laws regarding the transaction of marijuana, consumers still face the potential risk of purchasing the plant illegally from an unregistered dispensary.

Luckily for you, the California Bureau of Cannabis Control has a helpful database on their website to show exactly which businesses are legally licensed to trade cannabis in California. Search categories include the most specific details like license number to vague groupings like city and zip-code addresses.
