There’s a Giant Pot Festival in Tulare County This Weekend

Tulare County will soon be home to the state’s first licensed cannabis festival since retail marijuana sales became legal on Jan. 1.

The much anticipated Burn Out Music and Art Festival will take place this Saturday at the Tulare County Fairgrounds in Tulare where both medicinal and recreational cannabis businesses are outlawed. The event can go forward because of a provision of Senate Bill 94, passed last year, which allows for cannabis sales on state-owned county fairgrounds.

Marijuana will not be sold at this event, but will be handed out to the first 500 people who arrive. Attendance is restricted to those 21 and older and there are tight rules on where people can smoke. Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 at the door.

Oh and cops will be patrolling for stoned drivers, so watch out.
