One California City is Helping Its Cannabis Industry Fill Jobs

Greenfield, California is partnering with its budding medical marijuana industry to recruit talent for a range of open cannabis positions.

The city has created the Medical Cannabis Employment Bank to match prospective employees up with new cannabis jobs. It’s all about trying to maximize the economic benefits that the marijuana industry has to offer.

“The City of Greenfield Medical Cannabis Employment Bank will serve as a bank where the residents of Greenfield interested in employment opportunities in this emerging industry can 'bank' their employment materials in multiple formats and wait for a return on their investment,” according to the city. “The goal is to match up Greenfield applicants with the growing employment needs of the Medical Cannabis Industry.”

Greenfield wants to be clear that it won’t be making any of the hiring decisions. It’s merely helping to recruit.
