14 Homes Raided in California City Pot Bust

California City has had its fair share of marijuana raids lately. Earlier this month, three people were arrested and 2,000 plants confiscated.

Now, this:

A total of 14 California City homes were raided on Friday, Jan. 26th for suspected indoor marijuana growth, according to California City Police.

Nine suspects were arrested in connection with the network of illegal indoor marijuana cultivation inside of rental homes, police said.

California City is a growing hub of marijuana activity, both legal and illegal. In 2016, it became the first city in the county to permit commercial cultivation. It’s also the site of a forthcoming pot ranch owned by former boxer Mike Tyson.

By all means, cash in. But do it legally folks.
