Sign of the Times: Airport Security Trays Remind Californians to Leave Their Pot at Home

Next time you board a plane at Ontario Airport in San Bernardino County, don’t be surprised if you encounter this message on that little tray where you drop your cell and keys.

“Cannabis is legal, traveling with it is not. Leave it in California.”

It’s a public service announcement campaign launched by Denver-based cannabis company Organa Brands and it will run for the next 12 months.

“I’m still pinching myself a week into this,” said Jeremy Heidl, co-founder of Organa Brands. “It’s just unbelievable to me that the TSA was able to sign off on this campaign.”

No kidding.
