LA’s Measure M, Marijuana Win Big
The tale of the competing marijuana ballot measures is coming to an end in L.A. with Measure M as the victor.
Measure M garnered 79 percent of the vote in its favor. Measure N, which lost the support of its own sponsor, failed to pass, having received little more than 36 percent of the vote.
As we noted previously, Measure M could undo 2013’s Proposition D, give the city authority to tax the cannabis industry, and increase the number of permits. This is a positive step forward for dispensaries looking to open up shop in the City of Angels.
