Huge Bust Nets Over 3,500 Pounds of Illegal Weed in Yuba County

Marijuana may now be legal, but illicit pot activity continues in earnest in the Golden State.

A massive weed bust in the East Linda community of Yuba County resulted in the confiscation of over 3,600 plants (50 pounds) from six different sites, nine arrests, and the confiscation of two firearms on Thursday, the Sheriff’s Department said.

The investigation has been ongoing since January. It started with an anonymous tip pertaining to a single home but quickly mushroomed into a large-scale operation involving multiple residences and individuals from outside of the area.
